B.E./B.Tech. Bachelor of Engineering - Bachelor of Technology
Bachelor of Science is an Undergraduate Academic Degree which is awarded for a course or program in Science. The Bachelor of Science degree is one of the most pursued Degrees in the world. Bachelor of Science degree programs generally last 3 to 4 years depending upon the country. In India, the duration of Bachelor of Science Degree spans over a period of 3 years. A person seeking the Science Degree needs to study 5 subjects. There are limited number of combinations of subjects one can opt for depending upon the availability of choices in various Institutes
It is popularly known as B.Sc. or B.S. which is an abbreviated form of the Science Degree. Science degrees offer very specified knowledge about certain subject areas, usually in one of the three main science fields of Chemistry, Biology or Physics. Bachelor of Science Degree Course is designed to develop graduates with the key practical skills and interdisciplinary knowledge. The students are involved in completing pre-planned lab work based on text books and reading and adapting to well known theories. Students study an extensive range of courses and perform research in their choice of field
Graduates, are qualified for employment opportunities in a wide array of science and non-science industries. Whether a subject is considered a science or an art can vary between universities. For example, an economics degree may be given as a B.A. by one university but as a B.Sc. by another. Bachelor of Engineering
Bachelor of Technology
Known as Plain engineering.
Known as Bachelor’s in engineering technology.
B.E. is knowledge oriented.
B. Tech. is skill oriented.
The plain engineering is more of theoretical based research
While engineering technology is more of application engineering.
B. E. emphasize on in depth concept clarification of facts.
Emphasize on Practical exposure of Conceptual Knowledge
In late 70s and early 80s institutes offering Engineering with other degrees, called their engineering degree B.E.
Institute offering only Engineering degrees called their degree – B.Tech.
Mostly Private Universities or self affilated colleges like the IIT etc. offer B. Tech. degrees.
Offered by Colleges affiliated by various Universities
Answer to the question that which of the two are considered as greater degree greatly depends upon the mind set and work culture of the countries concerned rather than the Degree itself.
Hands-on-experience is preferable to knowledge in many countries (not in INDIA. In India, only knowledge is provided and experienced is gained on job itself).
In many countries, an Engineer without skill is not considered as an Engineer. To focus this point only, B. Tech. course was developed. Its one and the same basically, But IIT’s and foreign Countries call it B. Tech. instead of B.E.

Who can and Who should pursue Bachelor of Engineering Degree or Bachelor of Technology Degree
Bachelor of Engineering Degree is one of the toughest Degree's to attain. It is not 'Everybody's Cup of Cake'. For starters one needs to qualify for an entry into an Engineering College. For that one has to take coaching. Then the examinations are a challenge in itself. After completing the examinations, there is a wait of month or so before the results come out.
